ON FOOT - the easiest way! As soon as you get to the Upper Town /la Ville Haute, all small streets lead to the Cathedral. If you leave your car on Place Carnot, take la rue des Farges, then to the left, la rue des Tables. You are now at the foot of the Cathedral.
BY CAR - to be avoided! Leave your car Place du Breuil or Place Carnot or at the Hôtel du Département car park.
COACHES cannot go up to the Cathedral. They must park Place du Breuil or Place Carnot. In season, mini buses provide a shuttle service as they can go up rue Henri Pourrat and drop off their passengers but not park there.
PUSH CHAIRS AND PEOPLE WITH LIMITED MOBILITY: It's not easy to climb up 137 steps! At the foot of the main staircases, turn right, rue Séguret, then left into rue Cardinal de Polignac, as far as rue St. Georges (small car park). You will arrive at the rear of the Cathedral, and no stairs !
